Our Story

You’ll find Woodend Cellar & Bar just a few short steps from the centre of town with the iconic clocktower and Mount Macedon as our beautiful backdrop.

Proudly family owned and operated, owners Adam & Jacqui have tapped into their lifetime of experience in hospitality and retail to create a space that is both a laid back local, and a destination for road tripping wine enthusiasts from far and wide.

In a past life, Adam was the Operations Manager for the Ghanem Group of restaurants in Victoria and has honed his craft in bars, restaurants and hospitality roles across the world for the best part of the last 20 years. With similar credentials in fashion retail, Jacqui brings a detailed eye and a sense of style to the space, she also knows exactly what’s on the cellar shelves and will always point you in the direction of a drop that tastes amazing.

The couple have admired the works of Macedon Ranges winemakers from afar for many years, now as proud residents of Woodend, Adam and Jacqui are excited to act as the cellar door for the region, while still tipping the hat (and popping some corks) to the works of select interstate and international vignerons.

Backed up by a team of local hospitality professionals, it’s good vibes and good times all round from the moment you step through our cellar doors!
